2026 Marks the 50th Anniversary of the Manchester Garage Sale
A huge thank you to the the nearly 100 volunteers who make up the Manchester Garage Sale! These folks work year-round to make sure Camp’s largest fund raiser continues to be the success that it is! Camp had an appreciation luncheon for these wonderful volunteers, which included the introduction of the Camp Board; introduction of Craig Stadtmueller, the new CEO of Camp Courageous; they did a trip back memory lane through pictures and words of the past 50-year history of the Manchester Garage Sale; and zeroed in on Connie & Loren Norby and their huge impact, with their donation of the Old Creamery Building in 1992 and later their former Norby Farm Fleet Building in 2018.
So many volunteers talked about what a highlight of their week it is to do their shift at the Garage Sale. They love the other volunteers, they love helping Camp Courageous, and they talked about the many situations over the holidays, where folks that did not have the money to pay retail prices, but they could still provide their family nice gifts from the Manchester Garage Sale. It is a win-win-win situation. Manchester and the surrounding area are wonderful to Camp Courageous and Camp is grateful they took the Camp under their wing, 50-years ago!
