’57 Chevy Donor, Ralph Kremer, 87, of Independence, IA Passes
Camp is saddened by the recent passing of Ralph Kremer, 87, of Independence, IA. Ralph and his wife Inez donated the ‘57 Chevy the Camp is currently raffling. Inez, his wonderful wife, had just passed a couple months ago. Ralph was born in Monticello, IA, and grew up in the Buck Creek area. He was a veteran of the Korean War. Ralph returned from War to marry Inez in 1960 and they begin farming around the Aurora area in 1961. They both loved farming, which included helping others. In 1971, Ralph became a licensed Real Estate Agent. He enjoyed helping people for over 40 years, find their homes and help welcome them to the community. He also became a real estate appraiser forming Kremer Appraisals, LLC. For over thirty-eight years Ralph served his community on the Buchanan County Board of Supervisors. He was a member of the Buchanan County Cattlemen’s Association, the Pork Producers, the Buchanan County Housing Board, and Hawkeye Valley Agency on Aging. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 435 in Aurora where he served as Vice Commander for many years. Camp’s sympathy goes out to their daughter, five sons, along with family and friends. A wonderful couple, who had at the center of their lives, their family and helping others….
