Nearly 200 past staff and volunteers gathered at Durgin Pavilion to celebrate 50-years of serving campers at Camp Courageous. The guests included CC first Director, Gary Turbes. In addition to Gary, long time Camp Director, Jeanne Muellerliele was recognized, along with long time volunteers Jim & Mary Zimmerman, Sharon Roller, long time Camp Nurse, and Dave Mixdorf a past Camp Director.
Each attendee received a wood commemorative piece…just as each attendee has been an important piece of the camp history …so did the wood piece came from a tree at CC….
The Camp has grown from serving 211 campers to nearly 10,000…40 acres to 400…5 buildings to 35 buildings…12 staff to nearly 100…
