Camp Courageous met up with our dear friends, the C.U.B.S. (Chicago Urban Bicycle Society) at the Landmark Restaurant in Williamsburg.  The C.U.B.S. were in Des Moines for the announcement of route for RAGBRAI 2025.  For years, the C.U.B.S. have been raising money for Camp Courageous during RAGBRAI.  For a number of years they have had a dinner/auction to raise money for camp on the Thursday evening of the ride (this year in Cedar Falls).  They have been involved in virtually every project for decades!  (L-R) going around the table is:  Ann Carstensen, Elsie Foels, Charlie Becker, Brad Prendergast (chair), David Grinde, Dana Nelson, Greg Snyder, Jim Foels (camp board) and Brent Carstensen.  One super group of individuals!

If you are in an overnight cities (Orange City, Milford, Estherville, Forest City, Iowa Falls, Cedar Falls, or Oelwein) and would like to host the C.U.B.S., they simply need a place to pitch some tents, along with showers and water.  One can contact Brad Prendergast at 312/919-0700.  This year’s RAGBRAI is the 2^nd shortest and the 6^th flattest.
