Camp Courageous is saddened by the passing of camper, Thomas Joseph Dietzenbach, 44, of West Union, IA.  Tom was diagnosed with non-verbal severe autism and persevered through many developmental and medical challenges. On Thursday, September 18, 2025, at age 44, Tom passed away from injuries sustained in a fall. Camp Courageous enjoyed Tom’s regular visits to Camp Courageous, particularly from 1990 to 2000.  Tom’s childlike wonder and innocence were gifts that inspired all who knew him.  Tom will be missed by all that had the opportunity to meet him.  The family wished for his memorials to come to Camp Courageous.  (www.campcourageous.org/donate)
