Campers on the edge of their seat at Hawkeye game

The first Trip of 2025 kicked off with 32 campers/staff coming together to cheer on the Hawkeye men’s basketball team as they faced off against the Nebraska Cornhuskers!

The energy was electric as everyone gathered at the Hawkeye fan shop, each person buzzing with excitement and anticipation for the game. Clad in black and gold, the fans were ready to cheer on the Hawkeyes and create an unforgettable experience. As the bus rolled toward the arena, conversations filled the air—predictions about the game, stories of past victories, and a shared enthusiasm for the sport.

Upon arrival, the group was greeted by the lively atmosphere of the arena, where the sounds of squeaking sneakers and the crowd’s roar set the stage for an exhilarating evening. Finding their seats, they settled in just as the teams took to the court for warm-ups, each player focused and determined.

The Hawkeyes quickly took control as the game began, showcasing their skills with precision passes and impressive shots. The group’s cheers grew louder with each basket, a chorus of support that echoed through the stands. The camaraderie among the group was palpable, each moment bringing them closer together as they shared in the highs and lows of the game

As the game drew to a close, both teams were neck and neck the game went into overtime and the Hawkeyes emerged victorious, much to the delight of the dedicated fans. The group celebrated the win, their faces alight with joy and pride.
