Captain Jim White Treats Staff & Volunteers To Dinner & A Cruise To Express His Appreciation Of Their Dedication.

Captain Jim White, (center, seated), of Stanwood, IA is surrounded by Camp Courageous staff and volunteers as he treated them to a wonderful dinner cruise on the Riverboat Twilight on a two-hour cruise of the Mississippi River. It was a beautiful evening of good food and good fellowship. For many of Camp Courageous staff it was their first site of the Mississippi! Jim had never heard of Camp Courageous until a chance encounter at a movie theater in Cedar Rapids. There a group of Travel Campers were attending a movie. Jim met the group and generously bought them snacks and beverages. Since that meeting with the travel group, Jim has made many donations to Camp, including adaptive sporting equipment for the new Multipurpose Field, and much more. Jim wanted to do something special for the Camp staff and volunteers to say thank you for their work with individuals with disabilities. Camp cannot thank Jim enough for his generosity. Jim showers the staff and campers with meaningful and thoughtful gifts throughout the year…which are so sincerely appreciated!
