Courageous Honored To Present To The Camp Nebagamon Scholarship Fund Board

Camp Courageous was truly honored to have the opportunity to present to the Board of Directors of the Camp Nebagamon Scholarship Fund, a program that has been supporting Camp Courageous for nearly a decade.  The Camp Nebagamon Scholarship Fund supports tuition scholarships at non-profit summer camps that offer specialized recreation and supports for children and teens who experience poverty and disability.  Their video tells the heartwarming story of the good they provide so many (https://vimeo.com/cnsf).  Touched by their camping experience, they want to make sure everyone has that same opportunity.  Can not say enough good about these wonderful individuals.  Even though each board member is wonderful, want to call out one person, front and center, Sally Lorber-Stein.  Sally first came to Camp Nebagamon in 1934 and has an unbroken record of being there for part or all of every summer since. Her parents, Muggs and Janet Lorber, founded Camp Nebagamon.  She directed the camp for 30 years (1960-1990), along with her late husband, Nardie Stein.  Sally & Nardie published, Keeping the Firs Burning, A history and Memoir of Camp Nebagamon, and can be purchased on Amazon-great resource.  Sally and Nardie administered the Camp Nebagamon Scholarship Fund for 50+ years and now Sally is an Advisor.  Daughters, Jessie Stein Diamond is the Executive Director of the Fund and Jane Stein Kerr is an Advisor.  What a beautiful legacy.
