Camp Courageous is grateful to the Delaware County Peasants Forever for their donation of several acres of specialized seed for the Helen & Francis Pitlik Observatory area. Here Thayne Benz of the Delaware County Peasants Forever presents one of many bags of seed for this project.  Jeff Pitlik, volunteer project specialist contacted Mike Schmitz of Greeley, IA, who is President of the Iowa State Council of Pheasants Forever and is on the Delaware County Board, to see if they would consider helping with this nature preserve area.  This group has been involved with Camp Courageous for many years, including development of the prairie located by Lake Todd.
