Dietary Aide Job Description
(Summer – June to August)
Camp Courageous, is a year-round recreational, respite care, and travel program for individuals of all ages with disabilities, located in Monticello, Iowa, is looking for a Dietary Aide to add to camp’s amazing team!
This position is an essential role in the overall evening services offered to the campers, staff, and volunteers. Dietary Aides assist in the preparation, distribution, and supply of meals, snacks, and beverages as scheduled, and as requested.
Qualifications:
- Previous food service is preferred.
- Experience with special diets and institutional food preparation a plus.
- Must be 16 years or older.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds or more.
- Must be able to work Sunday-Thursday.
Job Duties:
- Must be able to learn the dining services procedures and safe use of equipment
- Must be able to work independently and as a member of the team
- Must be able to work at a steady pace to ensure meals, snacks, and beverages are prepared and delivered according to schedule
- Must maintain a clean work environment
- Must be able to use good communication to interact with campers, staff, and volunteers.
