The Camp Courageous Durgin Pavilion is a two-level structure overlooking Lake Todd. This building features an upper level with a open spacious area that is used for all types of camper activities, such as dances and parties. The lower level features a two-lane bowling alley, arcade games, and a walk-out to a large patio area. This building is available for rental by the general public when not in use by camper programs.

Features and Amenities

The upper level of the Durgin Pavilion features a large open area with windows looking out the front as well as the back, providing a gorgeous view looking out over Lake Todd. This upper area includes a kitchen, fireplace, and restrooms (including a family room). A large wrap-around balcony provides a beautiful view of the lake and surrounding area.

The lower level of the Durgin Pavilion features a two-lane bowling alley, arcade games, restrooms, kitchenette, and walk-out to a large patio area. It also has a shower area near the restrooms. The patio area outside the lower level features brick, stone, and limestone with benches and an outdoor fireplace.

Rental Information

The Camp Courageous Durgin Pavilion is available to rent when not in use by camper programs. The venue is ideal for weddings, receptions, family reunions, memorial services, and more. A non-refundable deposit of 20% of the estimated cost is required to secure each reservation.

History and Construction

The Camp Courageous Durgin Pavilion is named after James and Pauline Durgin. Construction on the building was completed in 2016. A dedication was held on Sunday, April 24, 2016 during the Camp’s annual Omelet Breakfast and Open House. Several members of the Durgin family were in attendance.

Durgin - Dedication

Many gathered outside the entrance to the Durgin Pavilion at the conclusion of the dedication in April 2016. Some of the finishing touches were completed later in July 2016, including the two-lane bowling alley that is located in the basement.
