Julie Carlson, Who Brought Her Joyful Music To Thousands, Passes At 94.
Camp Courageous’ sympathy goes out to the family and friends of Julie Carlson, who recently passed at the age 94. Julie was a delight and inspiration to be around. Her love for music from the time she was born, and everything affiliated music, brought happiness and joy everywhere she went, her entire life. She was the mother of Steve (Kim) Carlson, from just down the road from Camp Courageous. Julie’s grandson, Alex, was a camper at Camp Courageous for Muscular Dystrophy Weeks and is now a consultant for Camp. Along with other charities, Julie wished for her memorials to go to Camp Courageous (campcourageous.org/donate). Her spark for life and the joy her music brought to many, will be dearly missed.
