Larry Andreesen has had a long relationship with Camp Courageous…going back to his folks, who had their roots in Jones County, Cleo & Richard Andreesen. They had 3 sons, Arnie (Joan) Anamosa, Ron (Barb) Center Junction and Larry from Vinton. Each of them have been very involved in Camp, and just the nicest people. They were very close to neighbors, Gail & Donna Ahrendsen. Larry and Monte Ahrendsen have been lifetime friends. Monte has two sons, Doug & Kevin who have been coming to Camp since about the age of two…so picking Camp Courageous was a natural.
In addition, Larry has done the Sprint Triathlon, years ago, then the Duathlon, and then his daughter did the current Sprint Triathlon… generations of support.
