LJ Takes, Passes…A Volunteer Always There To Help When Called…

Camp Courageous’ sympathy goes out to the family and friends of LJ Takes, 80 of Monticello, IA.  LJ started Takes Electric in 1970 and operated it for over 50-years!  LJ was one of those individuals Camp Courageous could call at any time, particularly when our backs were against the wall with a complicated problem.  Volunteer, Gerry Rohr, who coordinated most the Camp’s Train Project, called LJ immediately when help was needed unloading 40,000 pounds of train rail for Camp’s train system.  LJ was one of those who would give a person in need, the shirt off his back.  Camp’s sympathy goes out to LJ’s son, Tony and daughter, Terri, along with family and friends.
