Camp Courageous is saddened by the passing of Don Burger, age 90, of Jesup, IA.  Don has been a longtime supporter of Camp Courageous and one I will never forget.  Over 40-Years ago, Don made me promise him I would never forget his name, and I never did.   Was fortunate to attend a wonderful celebration of Don’s 90^th Birthday this past summer in Jesup…a goal he had set out to accomplish.  Don Burger, and his side kick of over 60-years, Louise, hardly ever missed a Camp event, from the breakfasts/open houses to the Pineapple Galas, they were always there for the camp.  Don opened many doors for Camp Courageous over the decades, for which the Camp will be forever grateful!  When Don was nearly 90, he enjoyed a zipline ride with family and friends!  Camp’s sincerest sympathy goes out to Louise, Karen, Mark, and other family  and friends.
