Camp Courageous is saddened by the passing of Kathryn (Kat) Ballou Hansen, 69, of Cedar Rapids and Parkersburg, IA.  After retiring from a career in nursing, helping an endless number of individuals in need, and after her husband, Sidney’s, passing in 2017, Kat moved back to Cedar Rapids from Parkersburg to live and care for her father until his death.  Kat & Sid had a son, Sidney Hansen.  Kat, and her brother, Rod, have been wonderful to Camp Courageous for decades, along with their dear parents Earl and Natalie Ballou.  Even though Rod lives in Honolulu, HI, they always stayed very close and enjoyed doing projects, like providing a fishing dock for the campers at Camp Courageous, in memory of their folks.  Camp’s sympathy goes out to Rod and Sidney, along with the family and friends of Kat.  Kat wished for her and Sid’s memorials to go to Camp Courageous (www.campcourageous.org/donate)
