Long Time Supporter, Lotene Paulsen, 96, Of West Liberty, IA Passes.
Camp Courageous’ sympathy goes out to the family and friends of Lotene Poulsen, 96, of West Liberty, IA. Lotene, and her husband, Bill, have helped Camp Courageous going back to the early 90s. Camp needed a commercial sewing machine, to do the big jobs, like sewing a rip in a canvas teepee or tent. Lotene and Bill not only donated their beautiful equipment but spent years tweaking them to make sure they were always in perfect working condition. In addition, Lotene loved to collect art and craft supplies for the campers. They seldom missed a breakfast or special event. Bill passed in 2010, and Lotene continued to support the camp, right up to a few months ago. Lotene twice received the Governor’s award for volunteering. A wonderful couple, in the history of Camp Courageous! Lotene requested her memorials go to Camp Courageous. (www.campcourageous.org)
