A huge thank you to everyone at NRG Media’s KOKZ (105.7), ROCK (108), KXEL (1540), and HANK (107.3); along with David Gott, Account Executive for putting on the 3rd Annual Fishing Derby to benefit Camp Courageous!  It was a perfect day, in so many ways!  It was a Respite Weekend, so the vast majority of campers and staff loaded up the Camp Vehicles and headed to the beautiful Pleasant Creek State Recreation Area, near Palo to participate.  Pictured is on-line DJ, Mike Waters (R) accepting a check from Trevor Nicholson, Lead Volunteer, for Willie Ray Q Shack, Disaster Relief Crew.  Bill Butterfield (Hot Wheels Bill) of Tama was also out with a donation from his American Legion.  Nice to have so many fishing, but also so many coming, just to donate.

 A special thank you to the Cedar Rapids/Iowa City (CRANDIC) Walleye Club for taking care of all the judging and awards…huge job!  They also were a huge help to the campers, teaching them how to fish.  In addition, they had fishing pole they were giving to winners, donated by the Future Angler Foundation.  The National Professional Anglers Association donated 30 rods and 30 t-shirts for the event!

It was a great day with almost every camper catching at least one fish…some multiple fish.
