Camp Courageous is saddened by the recent passing of Phil Cummins, 90, of Iowa City.  Phil was the son of Tait Cummins and oversaw the care of his stepbrother, Charlie Cummins, for several years after the passing of Tait Cummins in 1984 and Dotty Cummins in 1997.  Phil’s mother had died of cancer, and Tait later married Dotty Ireland.  Phil had been a Professor of Philosophy for many years at the University of Iowa.  The Cummins Family History is at the University of Iowa Archives.  Many wonderful times were spent with the Cummins Family, all super involved in Camp Courageous from its earliest days.  Camp Courageous sympathy goes out to son, Dan Cummins and daughter Thyra Cummins Cox, along with additional family and friends.
