Quilts of Valor Ceremony Held At The Camp Courageous Memorial Park

Camp Courageous was once again honored to be the site for a Quilts of Valor Ceremony. A special thank you to Kim Tauke for organizing this event, and the dozens of folks who came out to be a part of this special celebration. Quilts of Valor is an organization dedicated to cover military service members and veterans that have been touched by war with a comforting and healing quilt. A wonderful program to honor those who served their country. Thank you also to the Marion American Legion Post 298 who provides new flags to this area…which includes the 6 branches of the service, US, Iowa, and POW-MIA flags. Quilts of Valor was honored to award 4 Veterans their Quilts of Valor. One from each branch of the Service. Thank you for the Service of, Ken L., Scott L., Dennis H., and Roger K. We are very proud and grateful to each.
