Hawkeye Area Council Scouts BSA camporee…
Hawkeye Area Council’s Fall Disabilities Awareness Camporee took place at camp this past weekend. This organization hosted a district-wide scout campout where they would teach the Disabilities Awareness Merit Badge while also supporting an opportunity for Camp Courageous to educate on camp history, the mission and to get community members onto the grounds that have never been at camp before.
The Iowa Therapeutic Recreation Students and professors was invited by the council to spend their Saturday morning teaching about therapeutic recreation and activity adaptions the Scouts BSA members on this Disability Jamboree Weekend!
