Job Description:
Camp is seeking a seasonal housekeeper(s) to join the team from April – November.
As a housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of the facilities.
Your attention to detail and organizational skills will ensure a clean and safe environment for the staff, campers, and guests.
As a housekeeper at Camp Courageous, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but
not limited to, keeping all buildings clean, restocking items, doing laundry, taking trash and
recyclables out, etc. You will work closely with the maintenance team and report any repairs or
maintenance needing done.
Responsibilities:
- Clean and disinfect all commonly used areas around camp.
- Restock supplies such as toiletries, linens, and cleaning products in a timely manner.
- Respond to requests in a courteous manner.
- Communicate any issues that need attention.
- Remove trash and recyclables from commonly used areas.
- Maintain a high level of cleanliness and tidiness in all areas, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of cleaning practices and procedures.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move heavy objects.
- Flexibility to work some weekends and evenings.
Hours vary based on camp programming and events, hours may include:
- Friday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Sunday: 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Monday & Tuesday: 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM (evenings)
- Seasonal: April through November
- Part-time
