Spahn & Rose Lumber Co. Charitable Foundation Continues To Support Camp Courageous…As It Has Since Day 1.
Jacque Arensdorf, Director of Marketing at Spahn & Rose Lumber Company in Dubuque presents Camp Courageous Board Member, Glenn Hasken, with a check from their Charitable Foundation. The Spahn & Rose Lumber Co. Charitable Foundation has been supporting camp since the early 80s and much of camp’s earliest building supplies came from the Monticello Spahn & Rose. Those original 5 buildings built in 1973, have grown to 35+ buildings today! Spahn & Rose has always had a genuine commitment to the customer, community, and passion for the building industry. Personally, I credit Spahn & Rose with much of what I know today about the building industry, that has provided a foundation from which Camp Courageous has grown. At the age of 14, the Dubuque Spahn & Rose employed me and taught me far more than they ever realized. I am personally grateful for this 54-year relationship! Last year had the opportunity to meet Mason Spahn, whose Grandfather’s house I painted with Scott Ransdell back over 50-years ago; Dave Nicholson, longtime friend and longtime Spahn & Rose employee; and Dave Davis, President and CEO of Spahn & Rose. Great company, where giving back, is a cornerstone.-cwb
