The CCST Committee is currently working on the details for the upcoming Camp Courageous Sprint Triathlon. This event is fully sanctioned by the USA Triathlon organization. Everyone participating must have an annual or one-day USAT membership and follow all USAT rules.
Below are details that are known so far. More updates will be posted as they become available.
Registration and Fee Schedule
Registration opened on Monday, January 1, 2024. Entries are collected through Run Signup.
The CCST is a U.S.A.T. Sanctioned event which requires everyone to have a USAT membership. If you don’t have a membership, you can purchase a one-day membership (minimum cost is $15 for a one-day membership). Photo ID required at packet pickup. Everyone must pick up their own packet.

Race Logistics and Timeline
LOCATION – Camp Courageous Durgin Pavilion, 12101 190th Street, Monticello, Iowa
PARKING – You will be directed to park in the lot on the north side of 190th Street directly across from Durgin Pavilion.
SPECTATORS – spectators are welcome at this event. Parking will be in the same area (across from Durgin Pavilion). Dogs are welcome (must be leashed and cleaned up after). The course, especially race finish, is very spectator friendly.

9:30 – 11:00 AM – Packet Pickup – TBD
Sunday, August 4, 2024 – Race Day Timeline
5:30 AM – Packet Pickup Opens – located inside Durgin Pavilion
6:00 AM – Transition Opens
7:00 AM – Lake Todd open for pre-swim
7:30 AM – Packet Pickup Closes; Lake Todd pre-swim closes
7:45 AM – Transition Closes
7:50 AM – Pre-race instructions (back/south side of Durgin)
8:00 AM – Swim start
Swim Route –
This is an 400 meter open water swim in Lake Todd. All swimmers must wear the provided swim cap for visibility. Swimmers will self-seed based on their 100 yard swim times. Pre-race swim warmup will be held from 7:00 AM to 7:30 AM.
BIKE ROUTE –
Biker route will be approximately 15.5 miles.
Run Route –
The proposed run route will be 5K in distance. It will be a mixture of paved and grass areas so be prepared for a cross country run.

Help is on the way!! Milky Way Masters is the
Cedar Rapids-area affiliate of U.S. Masters Swimming. Certified
coaches provide supervised workouts and individual attention for
athletes of all skill levels. Masters swim club is a safe and
inclusive places for adults to begin or continue their swim career.
Milky Way offers seven workouts a week, with both early morning and
evening times.
