Super Volunteer, Vera Gienapp, Turns 104 On March 8th!

“The more one gives, the more it comes back, many times over.” Vera Gienapp is the perfect example. Turning 104-years-old on March 8th, Vera spent decades in a leadership role at the Camp Courageous Manchester Garage Sale, Camp’s largest fund raiser. Her delightful positive personality on everything, makes her a true joy to be around. Her husband, Bud Gienapp, was also a delight and a hardworking volunteer for Camp. Bud passed at the age of 94 in 2017. They had been married for 71-years! Camp has seen a real correlation between its supporters and longevity…could the Camp be the Fountain of Youth? 😊
Vera Gienapp was part of a group visiting from The Meadows and, at 100 years old, became Camp’s oldest person to ride the new 700 foot zipline, four years ago. Vera rode the previous zipline that was located in the woods, but commented that she enjoyed the new zipline even more. It was wonderful to have her and the entire group from The Meadows, enjoy one of Camp’s newest adventure
