The Walleye CRANDIC Club Are Totally Involved With Camp Courageous!

Campers Muscular Dystrophy are busy fishing from docks as the Club Members Equip the New Tacklebox.
(L-R) Mark Brecht, Tracy Hayward, and Dave Nichols spent a day equipping the new The John & Peg Slusher Tacklebox facilities with the latest and greatest in fishing equipment cupboards, life jackets and so much more.
Camp’s journey began with the Walleye CRANDIC Club at the annual Fishing Derby to benefit Camp Courageous, where Dave Nichols, President, and others helped with weighing, measuring, and assisting campers with fishing.
The Walleye CRANDIC Club wanted to get more involved, and they did so by having Camp Courageous provide a program introducing the camp as a whole, while also connecting them with the fishing program at Lake Todd. Fishing is an activity that campers can use throughout their lives as a method of relaxation, exercise, and outdoor enjoyment.
Their involvement led Camp to receive fishing poles, gear, night crawlers, and so much more. They also built six collapsible carts to be stored in the building, making it easier to transport all the fishing gear to the accessible fishing docks at Lake Todd.
Camp Courageous was grateful to the team for providing a Camp Courageous Fishing 101 class during counselor orientation week as camp prepares for the arrival of campers for the 2025 summer sessions.
Thank you to Dave and the Walleye CRANDIC Club for all of their involvement in Camp.
