A big thank you to Dr. Gayle Pohl, PH.D., (front, left) Associate Professor of Public Relations at the University of Northern Iowa for giving Camp Courageous the opportunity to present to the UNI Public Relations Campaign Methods Class.  This dedicated class is taking on the Camp Courageous’ need to recruit exceptional counselors.  Camp was very fortunate to have Dr. Jeffrey Brand stop into the class.  Dr. Brand told the class his story about his children, Steven and Brittany, attending Camp and what an incredible experience they have at Camp.  It was Dr. Brand who suggested to Dr. Pohl what a great opportunity it would be as a project for students.  The class is divided into 3 groups and they will be making their presentations in the weeks to come.  A huge thank you for opening the door!  UNI is one of the top, if not the #1 source of counselors for Camp Courageous.
