Wayne Hall, Passes At 88, But His Legacy Lives On…At Camp Courageous
Pictured (L-R) Wayne Hall (in front of the replica Model A); son, Wayne Hall; daughter, Jill Brewer; and Grandson, Ben Brewer. Ben has been very active with Camp Courageous. Ben serves on the Pineapple Committee, and has been exceptional in giving of his time and his resources to Camp. Ben played a key role in getting his Grandpa Wayne, even more involved with Camp.
It is with deep saddness we say goodbye to Wayne Hall, 88, of Anamosa. Wayne’s love for Camp Courageous only grew with time. Wayne and his wife, Donna (of 52-years-passed in 2007) were very close to folks like former Camp Courageous Board Member, Dr. John & Rosemary Bailey, and Honorary Camp Courageous Board Members Ernie & Joanne Buresh. In 1957 Wayne Hall established Wayne Hall Chrysler Jeep Dodge and proudly served the Eastern Iowa area. People Magazine awarded Wayne the People’s Choice Award twice, for being one of the five best Chrysler dealerships in the United States. For 69 years Wayne had a daily presence at his dealership on Main Street in Anamosa. Wayne’s business grew over the years due to his reputation as a good and humble gentle man, of great integrity. A couple years ago, at the Pineapple Gala, Wayne bought a replica Model A. With Wayne’s passing, the family is honored to donate the car back to Camp Courageous in Memory of Wayne…this speaks volumes for legacy Wayne has passed on to future generations.
