Camp is saddened by the news of the passing of Camper Tristan Metzler.
Tristan attended Camp for a weeklong Summer session in 2019 as well as numerous day trips over the years with his school, College Community School district. During his weeklong session at camp, Tristan tried out as many camp activities as possible and was awarded with the Superzip award.
Counselor Tracy L shared, “he giggled while being strapped into the harnesses and had a huge smile on his face when she met him at the other end of the Superzip” (zipline previously located in the camp woods, where campers started on one end and ended on another).
Camp’s sincere condolences to the Metzler family. Camp was lucky to be a part of his journey. He was a true Courageous camper and always will be.
