Long Time Camp Courageous Supporter, Marilyn Alford, 96, of Cedar Rapids Passes.

Camp Courageous’ sympathy goes out to the family and friends of Marilyn Alford, 96, of Cedar Rapids.  Marilyn is among the last of the dear friends of Dotty Cummins, who would gather regularly at the Danish Maid Bakery in Cedar Rapids and discuss the concerns of the day…and figure out what new and exciting things they could do for Camp Courageous.  Marilyn was involved in Camp from its earliest days…helping Dotty blaze the trail for what today touches nearly 10,000 lives of those with disabilities annually.  Marilyn was a part of the ‘Friends of Charlie Cummins’…some of Dotty’s closest friends that would see that Tait and Dotty Cummins’ son, Charlie, would be well cared for after their passing.  A real sweetheart, Marilyn will be dearly missed…  ‘Her legacy inspires us to live each day with gratitude, kindness, and joy.’  She wished for her memorials to go to Camp Courageous… www.campcourageous.org/donate
