Glenn Hasken, And Our Friends At Molo Present Check From Round-Up!

A huge thank you to the Molo Companies for providing Camp Courageous proceeds from their Round-Up for Camp Courageous at their Big 10 Mart Stores.  Delivering a check to Camp and enjoying a grand tour of the Camp is Camille Willett, Marketing Manager; Chad Leber, Director of Operations; Dennis Jaeger, Wholesale Division Manager; and Glenn Hasken, COO/VP of Molo.  In addition, Glenn is a Camp Courageous Board Member and Past Chair of the Board of FUELIowa.  Molo is involved in virtually every Camp event…which Camp is very grateful.  Molo started in 1870s as a coal supplier and is currently Molo Petroleum, Molo Plumbing & Heating, and have the Big 10 Mart stores…great folks!

The Molo group also had the opportunity to visit the new Gazebo, in honor of their industry. The Gazebo replaces one built in the mid-80s to honor Ed Kistenmacher, long time Managing Director of the Oil Jobbers, that later became the Petroleum Marketers & Convenience Stores of Iowa and is now FUELIowa.  Ron McGauvran is the last living board member from the 1981 Oil Jobbers who visited Camp Courageous, that established the relationship that continues today, and is who funded the new Gazebo in honor of the organization and his wonderful colleagues over his life.  Ron’s goal was to renew and rededicate the Kistenmacher circle in the center of Camp Courageous.  It is dedicated to honor Edward Kistenmacher and his wife Marie, Norb Bahl, and the Board at the time ,fifty years ago, as they took on sponsoring an annual golf outing to raise money to support the Camp.  Ron is the last living member of the board that took on the fundraiser for the Camp.   The board is still active under the leadership of Glenn Hasken and others.  Norb Bahl, Glenn, and Ron served as Past Presidents of the Iowa industry.
