Camp Courageous’ sympathy goes out to the family and friends of Eugene Gudenkauf, 88, of Cascade, IA.  Eugene and his late wife of 60-years, Anita Gudenkauf, (who passed on January 31, 2023,) were regulars to almost every Camp Courageous event for decades.  Their daughter, Sue Gudenkauf, was the Assistant Respite Director during the days of 50 respite campers/50 volunteers on a weekend.  A wonderful family that has been dedicated to Camp Courageous since some of its earliest days.  Eugene and Anita were a good and caring couple, whose hard work benefited many over their lifetime.  They lead by example.  Wonderful parents, who have left a legacy of goodness and kindness in their family to care on….
