On Friday, December 12th, Campers, Staff, Volunteers and The New Horizon Band of Cedar Rapids, IA, gathered together to celebrate the holiday season.

              The New Horizons Band of Cedar Rapids, IA has been a part of Camp Courageous’ holiday season celebrations for over 15 years! The band has traditionally played a variety of holiday tunes during the annual adult camper holiday party. However, this year, Camp switched things up and hosted the Holiday Concert Extravaganza with the main event being the concert itself. And boy did the band with 26 members SHINE at Camp. Campers, their staff and volunteers al joined in singing and dancing along to their serenade. Especially when jingle bells were played by the band, the audience even played along shaking their own jingle bells.

        Volunteers from the party even traveled all the way from Iowa City to make a difference. Pictured are volunteers: Ann Maiers, Mary Gilroy, Kathy Lynch and Jane Brown (red sweater) that traveled from Iowa City to make a difference and volunteer their time at Camp for this event.
