The first overnight session at Camp Courageous for the 2026 season has a wild success, jumping into the new year with great excitement and fun!

Camp welcomed 44 students from the University of Iowa Sport and Recreation Management along with three of their professors. The students and their professors joined camp on Jan 8th through Jan 11th, for the first overnight session of the year! Campers, staff and volunteers all spent the weekend together, exploring camp, participating in scavenger hunts, meeting the animals, planning and leading adaptive activities and participating in recreation games such as floor hockey and volleyball.

THANK YOU to the UI professors and students for all of their time, energy and hard work that went into making this session a success. What a way to kick off the new year.
