Camp Courageous is deeply saddened by the recent passing of David Faribault, 91, of Cedar Rapids/North Liberty, IA. David and his wife JoAnn have been long time supporters of Camp Courageous, going back nearly 50-years. David became very close during Dotty Cummins long battle with cancer as we determined a course that would affect Tait and Dotty Cummins’ son and longtime camper, Charlie Cummins. David was as compassionate, good, and caring person as they come. With his passing, I reviewed our decades of correspondences. The Faribault’s were all about helping others. Camp’s sympathy goes out to David’s wife of 69-years, JoAnn, his son, Steven Faribault; his daughters, Ann (Michael) Aschoff, Suzanne Faribault, and Lisa Faribault. David’s legacy will live on in the many lives he changed in a beautiful way.
