Longtime Supporter, Jerry Cameron, 85, of Troy Mills, IA Passes

Camp Courageous is deeply saddened by the recent passing of Jerry Cameron, 85, of Troy Mills, IA.  Jerry, and his wife of nearly 70-years, Pat, were wonderful supporters of Camp Courageous for decades.  Recently Jerry & Pat made a very special donation to Camp Courageous’ Perpetual Fund in memory of Pat’s mother, Marie Krueger.  Marie was a great lady, who visited Camp often, and lived to be 102 years old!   Not only have Jerry and Pat been longtime supporters of the Camp Courageous individually, but also through their camping group, Two River Sams.  They were keen on looking over the Camp’s Needs List, to find things they could provide.  The Two River Sams recently made 166 stocking hats and 30 quilts for the Camp, along with collecting several large bags of can tabs!  Jerry and Pat never missed an Open House/Breakfast and have been so good to Camp Courageous for so long…it will be very different not having Jerry’s many visits to Camp Courageous each year and his genuine warmth and sincere love for Camp Courageous.   Camp’s warmest sympathy goes out to Pat, family, and friends.  The family requested that memorials may be directed to Camp Courageous: campcourageous.org/donate
