Denny Hebdon, Hardworking, Dedicated Advocate From Camp Courageous, Passes.

Camp Courageous sympathy goes out to the family and friends of Denny Hebdon, 79, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.  Denny and his wife of 59-years, Katie, have been long time friends and supporters of Camp Courageous.  That relationship mushroomed as he retired from a long career at Rockwell Collins in Cedar Rapids and began work at Ketelsen RV in Hiawatha, IA, as their parts manager. There he helped organize and take a lead in Ketelsen’s Annual Customer Appreciation Day, where pancakes were served for a Free Will donation to Camp Courageous.  He took a lead in the raffling of an RV, that benefited Camp Courageous.  That grew into putting together baskets for the Pineapple Gala Auction and having a table at the Gala.  Denny & Katie were regulars at Camp events…few things did they ever miss.  Camp’s sympathy goes out to Katie, along with their two children, Stacy Hebdon of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Jayson Hebdon of Anamosa, along with grandchildren and great grandchildren and other family and friends.  They don’t come any nicer, hardworking, and dedicated than Denny & Katie.  Like Denny’s mother, Venita, Denny desired his memorials go to Camp Courageous…www.campcourageous.org/donate        -Charlie Becker
