Yesterday afternoon, Camp Courageous hosted camp professionals as part of an American Camp Association (ACA) tour through Eastern Iowa. ACA reached out to Camp this summer about hosting a stop on the tour and giving other camp professionals the opportunity to learn more about Camp Courageous.

The group spent the afternoon touring Camp, learning more about Camp’s programs and facilities, and sharing ideas and experiences from their own camps. What was originally planned to include a more formal educational session naturally turned into more time for conversation, networking and seeing more of Camp.

As an organization, Camp truly treasures time spent with others in the camping world. Having the opportunity to connect with other camp professionals, hear what others are doing and share ideas gives Camp another way to continue learning and improving the experience for campers.

Thank you to Gaye and Abbie with ACA for organizing the tour and to everyone who spent the afternoon at Camp Courageous. We enjoyed having you at Camp and appreciated the conversations, questions and ideas shared throughout the day.
