ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Dependable and punctual with consistent attendance
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean environment
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
• Ability to communicate respectfully and professionally with campers, guests, staff, volunteers, and rental groups
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy of campers and guests
• Ability to safely use cleaning chemicals, equipment, and supplies
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, push, pull, and lift throughout the workday
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, as required
• Previous commercial housekeeping experience preferred, but not required

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Cleaning & Sanitation

• Clean and disinfect bathrooms, cabins, offices, common areas, kitchens, dining areas, and meeting spaces
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, dust, and sanitize assigned areas
• Clean mirrors, windows, doors, fixtures, and high-touch surfaces
• Empty trash and replace liners
• Maintain clean and sanitary conditions throughout all facilities
• Address spills, messes, and other cleaning needs promptly

Laundry & Linens

• Collect, wash, dry, fold, and properly store towels, bedding, and other linens
• Maintain adequate supplies of clean linens and towels
• Keep laundry areas clean and organized

Camp & Rental Support

• Prepare facilities for incoming campers, guests, groups, and rental events
• Clean and reset facilities following departures, events, and rentals
• Restock bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas with necessary supplies
• Inspect rooms and common areas after use and report damage, missing items, or maintenance concerns
• Assist with maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for all Camp Courageous visitors
