Lifeguard Job Description
Our pool(s) and Lakefront are fun, high-energy environments, and we are looking for dedicated individuals who can maintain the highest safety standards while creating a positive, welcoming atmosphere for our swimmers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain active vigilance and monitor the pool area to ensure the safety of all guests.
- Prevent accidents and respond promptly and effectively to any emergency situations.
- Enforce pool rules in a polite, firm, and encouraging manner.
- Engage positively with children and parents to foster a friendly community environment.
- Assist with basic pool upkeep and test water chemistry as required.
Qualifications:
- Lifeguard Certification (including Waterfront, CPR/AED and First Aid for the Professional Rescuer).
- Excellent communication skills and a patient, positive attitude.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
- Experience working at a camp is a plus.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean environment.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Ability to communicate respectfully and professionally with campers, guests, staff, volunteers, and rental groups.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy of campers and guests.
- Ability to safely use cleaning chemicals, equipment, and supplies.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, push, pull, and lift throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, as required.
