Wonderful Afternoon Spent With Cedar Rapids P.E.O. Chapter II As They Learn More About Camp Courageous
A very special thank you to Dr. Wendy Buresh (7th person on the left side) for inviting Camp Courageous to give a program to this delightful Cedar Rapids P.E.O Chapter II, held at Wendy’s home. Wendy has been a longtime supporter of Camp Courageous, along with her parents, Honorary Board Members, Ernie & Joanne Buresh (Joanne is sitting in front of Wendy). It was truly a wonderful group on a wonderful afternoon. P.E.O. is a philanthropic organization where women celebrate the advancement of women, educate women through scholarships, grants, awards, loans, and stewardship of Cottey College in and motivate women to achieve their highest aspirations. P.E.O. had its roots in Mt. Pleasant, at Iowa Wesleyan College, in 1869 and is now headquartered in Des Moines, IA. Jeanne Muellerleille, who headed the Camp’s program for about 40-years, was a member of the Monticello P.E.O. Have known many exceptional individuals over the years, who were members of P.E.O.. Could not have asked for a more heartwarming afternoon!
