At 100+Years-Old, Betty Artus, Doesn’t Stop Volunteering For Camp!

(L-R)-Ruth Neuhaus and Betty Artus)
Thank you to Betty Artus for inviting Camp Courageous to attend an Oxus Grotto Breakfast in Asbury, IA (all supporters of Camp Courageous).  Along with breakfast Betty presented bags of pop can tabs and card fronts, along with a check for the new Camper Cabin.  A special thank you to the Sister of the Presentation in Dubuque that help Betty collect for Camp.  Betty’s daughter, Ruth Neuhaus, is holding Jim Doyne’s book, ‘Wonderful Memories and Treasures’.  Jim was on WMT after Leo Greco’s morning Variety Show.  Betty had turned 100-Years-Old on April 30th this year!  For nearly half of her life, Betty has been a strong advocate for Camp Courageous!  She first became acquainted with Camp Courageous during a program about the Camp was given to the Dubuque Finley Hospital Auxiliary.  Since than she has never looked back.  Collecting everything from pop tabs, to greeting cards, to gifts for the campers during the holidays, her garage has become a location for many to bring their donations for Camp Courageous.  Betty is one of the most wonderful individuals one could ever meet…Thank goodness for Betty’s 100-years!  She is still going strong for many more to come, and so many more to benefit from her heart of gold.  Camp Courageous can’t thank Betty, and her family, enough for her years of support!
