A huge thank you to , PH.D., (front, right) Associate Professor of Public Relations at the University of Northern Iowa for giving Camp Courageous the opportunity to present to the UNI Public Relations Campaign Methods Class.  The class was divided into 3 projects, the recruitment of Camp Courageous staff being one group (pictured).  Camp was very fortunate to have Dr. Jeffrey Brand stop into the class and tell his story about his children, Steven and Brittany, attending Camp and what an incredible experience they have at Camp.  It was Dr. Brand who suggested to Dr. Pohl what a great opportunity it would be as a project for students.  These students brought to Camp Courageous dozens of new avenues for recruitment, brought media attention to the Camp’s need for staff, through Handshake, helped schedule appointments for interviews and more.  UNI has consistently, over Camp’s 50-years of serving camper, been a source of great staff.  A huge thank you to Dr. Pohl and the UNI students for opening the door and planting many seeds for the future!
