It was a treat to have Eloise Dennis and Ginger Franz visit Camp Courageous and catch up on all the latest improvements to the facilities. They enjoyed watching the campers swimming and having a super time, as well as taking in the breathtaking location of the new Dr. Robert & Eloise Dennis Camp Cabin perched high on top of the hill at the Pictured Rocks Addition to Camp Courageous.
The trees are just beginning to change colors, making the view even more spectacular. From the future cabin site, one can look out over thousands of acres of State Primitive Land and Camp Courageous’ base camp.
At 91, Eloise remains Camp’s #1 promoter of this exciting project! The project is currently in the fundraising stage—a stage that will never really end. Groundbreaking is planned for 2027, with the first campers expected to enjoy the new facility in 2028!
Everyone is super excited about what’s ahead!
Ginger and her husband, Dr. Dan Franz delivered a Trishaw to Camp Courageous a few years ago, and it has been a wonderful addition to the Camp. We are grateful for their continued support and friendship!
