Campers visit Milwaukee with the Travel Program

Last Saturday the travel campers checked in for the Milwaukee trip. They were all super pumped up to start the road trip. Once physicals were taken care of everybody hopped in the van and we started the journey. Along the way the group jammed out to music, pointed out cool landmarks, conversed and made each other laugh. For dinner everybody voted to eat at Buffalo Wild Wings. After a delicious meal we got back on the road and finished the drive. Upon arrival at the nice Airbnb, where we are spending the next two nights everybody chose their rooms and settled in for the night.
The group is excited to discover Milwaukee!
The second day in Milwaukee started with coffee at Starbucks and visiting a local bookstore. Once campers picked out books they liked we checked out drove around Milwaukee. Along the way stopping at the shore of Lake Michigan to take some pictures.
Afterwards we headed back to the house and watched the movie Hocus Pocus while eating Domino’s pizza. Once the movie was finished and everybody was full, we loaded the van and drove to the Harley Davidson museum. Upon arrival we headed into the museum and to check out the 2-story building. The museum was filled with motorcycles and the history of Harley Davison. There were games that the campers played and videos that were full of interesting history. Once done at the museum we visited the gift shop. The group purchased shirts, water bottles, and stickers.
After that we headed to the public market which was full of local vendors. The campers tried many things such as smoothies, saltwater taffy, and strawberry cheesecake. After visiting the market, we ate a delicious dinner at noodles and company and then headed to the house for the night.

On the final day in Milwaukee, Wisconsin the travel group ate a delicious breakfast and stopped at Starbucks for coffee. Afterwards we started the road trip back to camp. Most of the way the campers were asleep but otherwise we were jamming out to music. For lunch we ate at Cracker Barrel and of course checked out the gift shop afterwards. Once everybody was finished making their purchases, we loaded the van and finished the drive to camp. Upon arrival the campers were picked up after a fun trip.
