Long Time Supporter, Robert ‘Bob’ Ganfield Passes
Robert ‘Bob’ Ganfield, 86, of Cascade, IA, recently passed. Bob always reminded me of Paul Harvey’s description of a farmer (So God Made A Farmer- https://archive.org/details/God_Farmer). Bob was a gentle giant. The type that would give the shirt off his back to help anyone…and Camp Courageous was fortunate to be one of those organizations he loved to support. He particularly enjoyed and seldom missed the camp breakfasts. A person of great integrity, he was particularly proud of his 60+ years as a Mason, and his many years in service organizations, like the Lions. Bob’s classic line, after listening to a great deal of discussion on a subject was, ‘Well…the way I see it…’. Bob was a good spouse, father, grandfather, and a true friend to many. Camp’s sympathy goes out to Bob’s wife, Mary Ann, daughters Barb & Betty, along with additional family and friends.
