Long-Time Camper, Matthew Hamilton, Passes-“Camp Courageous Was His Disney.”
Camp Courageous’ sympathy goes out to the family and friends of long-time camper, Matthw Hamilton, 59, of Cedar Rapids. Matthew was the camper whose mother described his coming to Camp Courageous as, “Matthew’s vacation to Disney.” Matthew so enjoyed the new and old friendships born out of each visit. Matthew was also an active member of Camp’s longtime supporters, the Marion Sunrise Kiwanis Club. Camp’s personal sympathy goes out to Matthew’s mother, Margie Mitchell, a huge advocate for Matthew throughout his life, and brother, Cris Sobotka.
