Pat Kurt, 79, of Cascade, IA, Long Time PRN In Camp’s Medical Department, Passes
Camp Courageous is saddened by the news that another of its team has passed. Pat Kurt, 79, of Cascade, IA, a Camp Courageous long-time PRN has died. Over the years Pat checked in thousands of campers, giving them their first mini-physical upon arriving at Camp Courageous. She was there to help Camp’s Medical Team, however she could, at any hour of need. Pat was a graduate of Mercy School of Nursing in Iowa City, Iowa. She worked as a Registered Nurse at John McDonald Hospital, Camp Courageous, and Advance Services all in Monticello, Shady Rest Care Center in Cascade, and Ertl’s in Dyersville. Pat was a hard-working Registered Nurse with lots of patience for patients, she had a big heart, and lots of empathy and worked tirelessly not only at Camp Courageous, but also alongside people with substance disorders, to give them the support and help they needed to recover. Camp’s sympathy goes out to Pat’s Family and friends. The number of lives she touched is immeasurable.
